Big Blue Marble Academy Opens First Location in Elgin, South Carolina

We’re proud to be growing in the greater Columbia, South Carolina community with the opening of our newest location: Big Blue Marble Academy – Elgin at 900 Commons Drive.

With six other locations around the Columbia metro, this will be our first location northeast of the city. We know that finding quality child care can be challenging, so we’re excited to offer 190 students, from infants, 6 weeks and up, to preschoolers, access to our global learning
curriculum and incredible teachers in our beautiful new school.

Prospective families can schedule tours to learn more about our unique curriculum, explore the new facility and meet with our incredible center director and teachers.

What Can Families Expect to Find at BBMA Elgin?

Lots of Room to Explore

Our Elgin school has 11 large classrooms where students will learn, play and explore! We design our spaces to be bright and engaging to allow our young learners to be curious and have fun. We also know the importance of fostering a love of adventure, so our play spaces, inside
and out, ensure students are able to play and be active with age appropriate equipment for all students.

Unique Curriculum that Fosters Curiosity

Our research-backed, play-based curriculum, Passport to Learning, is unique to BBMA and helps students explore and learn using the world around them as its foundation. Our incredible staff works closely with all of our students, even infants, to start growing their love of learning
using age appropriate lessons that help them meet their developmental milestones for all skills – cognitive, physical and social alike!

Convenient Care Options for Working Families

We know full time work can create challenges within childcare, which is why we will be offering after-school care for the families of Pontiac Elementary School. For these students, ages 5-12, we’ll provide transportation, facilitated activities and homework assistance.

For our families with younger children, we are open from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, to accommodate busy working parents. Combined with our parent communication app, we work hard to ensure you feel like we are an extension of your family. While your student is with our talented and nurturing staff, you can feel confident you’ll be informed of what they’re learning and achieving in our care.

Discount for Elgin’s Founding Families

BBMA is proud to be expanding into Elgin, and we can’t wait to meet the young learners who will bring life into our beautiful new school! To celebrate our opening, the first 50 families to enroll will receive a special tuition discount of $50 off each week for their first year of enrollment– a $2,600 savings.
