Toddlers

TODDLERS:

12 to 24 months

Ready to Explore

Your toddler is ready to move, explore, and discover their independence, and our teachers are ready to guide them. At this stage, your little one learns through their senses and through trusted relationships with caring adults. As they move through and observe the world around them, our program helps lay the foundations for learning, communication, confidence, and curiosity.

Your toddler is discovering the power of their own voice, and it’s just the beginning! Through songs, books, gestures, and conversations with caring adults, your little one will begin using sounds, words, and simple phrases to share their needs, ideas, and feelings, building the early foundations for language and literacy one word at a time.

Math is happening all around your toddler, and it all starts with play. As they stack blocks, fill and dump containers, sort objects, and begin to notice different sizes and shapes, your child will develop an early understanding of quantity, patterns, and problem-solving that grows with every playful discovery.

Your toddler doesn’t just observe the world; they investigate it! Through hands-on experiences with nature, a variety of materials, textures, and everyday objects, your little one will begin to notice cause and effect, discover how and why things change, and find simple patterns in their environment that fuel a natural curiosity and love of exploration.

As a toddler, your child begins to discover who they are and how to connect with others. With supportive guidance from our caring teachers, your little one will learn to express their emotions, develop trust, build confidence, and take their first steps toward engaging in social interactions with peers.

At this stage, your toddler is just beginning to discover their place in the world, and every familiar face, routine, and shared experience helps them get there. Through caring relationships and hands-on experiences, your child will learn about their classroom community, family connections, and the world beyond.

Your toddler is on the go, and every step, climb, and wobble helps develop balance, coordination, and body awareness as they grow. Through climbing, walking, pushing, pulling, and manipulating objects, your child will strengthen their motor skills while beginning to practice simple healthy habits and self-care routines.

Your child’s creativity is just beginning to bloom, and there’s no telling where it will take them! Through music, art, movement, and imaginative play, your toddler learns to express themselves in new and exciting ways, experiment with new ideas, and discover the joy of creating.

Your toddler is curious, determined, and ready to take on the world! As your little one explores their classroom, they’ll investigate objects, try new actions, and build persistence as they discover how things work and grow confidence in their abilities. Our classroom activities are purposeful, and play is designed to help your toddler build new skills and confidence.

A special note for parents of Toddlers!

Keeping Your Child Safe

We know placing your child in someone else’s care is one of the most emotional decisions you’ll make as a parent, so your child’s safety and your peace of mind are at the heart of everything we do at BBMA. As toddlers become more mobile and independent, their safety remains our top priority. Our safety measures include age-appropriate learning environments, a dedicated team of field safety personnel who conduct annual audits at every school, a company-wide safety compliance tracking system, background checks and reference checks for all new hires, and staff trained in first aid and CPR.

Keeping in Touch

We appreciate how much every little moment matters, and we want you to feel close to your toddler throughout the day. That’s why we emphasize communication and keep you connected every step of the way. Our parent app delivers real-time updates on your little one’s meal times, diaper changes, nap schedules, and developmental milestones, from dropping a nap to using a sippy cup. We’ll also share photos to remind you that your baby is happy, nurtured, and thriving.
