Infants

Secure and Comforted

6 weeks – 12 months

We know how hard it can be to leave your baby in someone else’s care. And while you’re away, you can rest assured that you are leaving your child in caring and capable hands. Through our commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment, our caregivers ensure that each child feels secure and comforted.

In addition to personal care, our infant teachers focus on:

Approaches to Play and Learning

Play is one of the many ways infants are introduced into the world around them. Our teachers provide special care and attention to introduce them to a welcoming and nurturing environment, creating a strong foundation for exploration as toddlers.

Cognitive Development

Our teachers help describe the world for our infants, laying the foundation for early childhood development. Caregivers label and describe what they see – whether it is counting the number of friends on a rug or identifying the colors in artwork on the wall.

Communication and Language Development

Language development is crucial during the infant period, even before they acquire noticeable verbal skills. Infants have their own ever-changing form of communication that our teachers actively encourage. Baby Signs (American Sign Language) involve enhanced gestures and altered signs that infants are taught in conjunction with spoken words, with the intention of creating richer parent-child and teacher-child communication.

Physical Development

This is an important time for an infant’s physical development. From unclenching hands and rolling over to sitting up, crawling and laughing, our teachers encourage our littlest ones every step of the way.

Social and Emotional Development

Our teachers are caring, compassionate, and attentive to your baby’s needs. We create a warm and welcoming environment to help nurture and encourage our infants’ positive development.
